SEO Common interview Question and answers - From Interview/ client point of view

Common Question and Answers From Interview/ Client point of view

SEO Common interview Question

A. On-page optimization is the preparation of the actual pages of the website. Search engines are trying to provide their users with the most relevant sites for any particular query. Maybe your website has a lot of material and is relevant to searches for your product, but it may not have been designed or written in a way that is search engine friendly. The correction of design mistakes and the rewriting of the website's text and meta tags is what is known as on-page search engine optimization..

A.  Even if your website is well designed, has proper meta tags and has keyword rich text, this alone does not guarantee that your site will rank high in competitive queries. All of these factors, design, Meta tags and copywriting, are on-site factors. Search engines certainly take them into consideration, but they also value off-site factors such as how many high quality websites are linking to you. This means you have to work on-site optimization as well as you have to get good quality links to your website.

Q.What is the relationship between Page Content and meta tags?
A.  Many people want to get a high ranking for various keywords or keyword phrases, but if you look at the text on their web pages you can hardly find these vital words. This is a major misunderstanding.
It is true that your main keywords and key phrases should be in your title tag and your description meta tag, and even in the keywords meta tag, but they must also appear on the page itself and they must appear in some strategic places on that page. Some clients say, "But I like the way it looks now." You may like the way it looks, but the search engines will not recognise that your page is truly about your products/services unless these words appear in headlines on the page, in the opening paragraph, in the file or domain name in link text and in the body text of your page.
So, by all means if you already have copy that works, that can convert visitors into buyers or otherwise accomplish the purposes of your site, keep it.
But you should also be ready to listen to what the optimiser has to say about modifications that will enable search engines to select your site when a potential buyer makes a query for your keywords or phrases.

Q. Is search engine submission important or necessary ?
A. The major search engines such as Google, MSN, Yahoo, Ask Jeeves etc. all employ robotic programs "bots" which scour the Internet looking for data (sites) to add to the search engine indices. Whenever they visit a web page they look at the links on that page and follow them. If they follow a link to a new site, that site is then included in their data base. In addition, the bots periodically revisit all the sites that they know about.

Q. What is Link Popularity?
A.  Link Popularity means how much you are known on the internet which can be measured with how many sites or web pages link to you. Link popularity is measured by both the quantity and quality of sites that link to your site. Link Popularity is the number of on the On-topic quality hyperlinks pointed to your website or Webpage. It is important for top search engine ranking that your website should have theme based quality links from sites which are related to it so that even the user who is searching for the required information can come to the right place.
We understand this and keep this in mind while preparing the link building campaign for your site. In all our campaigns we provide complete report where your links have been placed with the exact location of the same.

Conclusion

A successful search engine optimisation will bring qualified customers and prospects to your website. So after several months your website’s position on the search engines result pages has not improved, you might want to re-analyse your website.
